Jim is a veteran representative who has been helping schools create yearbooks since 1998. From experienced nationally award winning advisers to first year advisers, he has coached teachers to become great advisers. He organizes one of the state’s largest conferences each September at Southeast Missouri State University. He can quickly gather whatever resources an adviser needs and/or bring resources to the classroom. Whether it be face-to-face connections at national conventions for mini-critiques or personalized workshops for the students, he has the resources to help.

Earning this certification requires weeks of preparation and passing a three-hour exam focusing on journalistic writing and editing, graphics and design, legal and ethical considerations, fiscal management, leadership training, conflict resolution and more.

Jim brings a plethora of knowledge in journalism and printing and publishing. He has 18 years of experience as a rep in the St. Louis and the southeast Missouri region. He earned his Certified Journalism Educator credentials with JEA and is a veteran workshop presenter. Jim is passionate about what he does for Jostens. He has made long-term commitments to the field and will continue to work within the school setting because he loves what he does.
