Phil Page, CJE *
Serving NW Indiana Since 1993
Yearbooks are his passion. Going back to high school, Phil has been active in yearbooking. At Purdue University he served as Editor-in-Chief of the yearbook. During that time he helped the yearbook achieve All-American status and won a CSPA Silver Crown. He has been a speaker at Ball State JDay and the IHSPA Franklin State Convention; he has won numerous photo contests and even critiqued yearbooks for Columbia University.
In 2014 Phil was named a Certified Journalism Educator from JEA. He and his wife Lori (who he met on the yearbook staff) have six children and live in Valparaiso, Indiana.
* CJE // Certified Journalism Educator: This rep has been certified by the Journalism Education Association (JEA). Earning this certification requires weeks of preparation and passing a three-hour exam focusing on journalistic writing and editing, graphics and design, legal and ethical considerations, fiscal management, leadership training, conflict resolution and more.
Phil has insights to offer
Jostens has traditionally provided great opportunities for students and advisers to stay abreast of the latest trends in journalism while still being conscious of realistic budget constraints. Phil Page was the editor of the Purdue yearbook and is also a good photographer. He understands design principles and has a great deal of experience working with a variety of different schools, so he has insights to offer in nearly all aspects of production.

I am THRILLED with his enthusiasm
As a “born again” yearbook adviser (I advised 1987-1994, then took ten years off before returning to advising in 2004), I am thrilled with my rep’s enthusiasm and keeping me motivated. I inherited a publisher from the previous adviser, and I liked that rep, too, but Jostens is the full package — cool ideas, easy to use software, and a knowledgeable, helpful rep. It’s the only reason I keep doing it.

I love working with Phil
I love working with Jostens and Phil because in every way they possibly can, they make my job as an adviser easier. They also accommodate us because we are a small school and I love that! They are flexible, kind, and caring.
